We've always been poles apart. I used to tell you jokes, thinking you'd find be amused, but you never laughed the same way I did. Then you would try, but sometimes I wouldn't get it, and if I did, I wouldn't find it funny. And there's the issue of dining. That has always been a chore. We hardly eat the same things, and we were always finding out each others palate preferences, till one day we came to the conclusion that whatever I liked to eat would be the things you didn't. We aren't interested in the same things, we socialize with entirely different types of people.
Then there was that time where after a long day at work, I told you, "I can't wait to go home, drink some mushroom soup, eat muffins and lie in my bed watching One Tree Hill." To which you replied, "Okay, I'm sorry, but that sounds horrid to me." In that instant, I wondered how it was possible that two people as different as the both of us could have found each other so effortlessly, stumbling into such a wonderful, different kind of love.

Keep your feet ready, heartbeat steady
Keep your eyes open
Keep your aim locked, the night goes dark
Keep your eyes open
